Jharkhand Students Plan Statewide Protest Over Recruitment Exam Issues

Ranchi, India Aug 22, 2026 ALN: Launching the second phase of protest, students in Jharkhand will commence a march from the birthplace of Dishom Gurum Shibu Soren, Nemra in Ramgarh, dubbed the ‘Bharti Vyavastha Sudhar Yatra’, starting August 24. This march aims to cover the entire state to highlight how the government has deceived the students of Jharkhand. The protest is a culmination of ongoing frustrations regarding the recruitment examination process in the state, which many students believe has been plagued by irregularities and lack of transparency.

The students' grievances primarily revolve around the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). These bodies are responsible for conducting various recruitment examinations for government jobs in the state.
