Ziro Festival Co-founders Discuss Future Plans with Governor

Itanagar, India Aug 23, 2026 ALN: The co-founders of the Ziro Festival, Bobby Hano and Anup Kutty, met with Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik at Lok Bhavan on Saturday to discuss the festival, recognized as one of India’s premier independent music and cultural events. Founded in 2012, the Ziro Festival has grown to become a significant platform for showcasing independent music and the rich cultural tapestry of Northeast India, attracting both national and international audiences.

The festival takes place in Ziro Valley, , which is known for its stunning landscapes, vibrant tribal cultures, and the unique Apatani tribal community. During the meeting, they introduced their outreach initiative, ‘Ziro On Tour – Valley Vibe, City Tribe’, aimed at showcasing the music, culture, and artistic talent of Northeast India to broader audiences both nationally and internationally.
