PMK President Anbumani Urges Immediate Action on Paddy Procurement

Chennai, India Jul 17, 2026 ALN: PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss on Friday urged the State government to immediately move paddy bags piled up at Direct Procurement Centres (DPCs) to storage facilities and rice mills, warning that delays in procurement were causing severe hardship to farmers across the Cauvery Delta districts.

The Cauvery Delta region, known for its fertile land and extensive irrigation system, is a critical agricultural zone in Tamil Nadu.
