Imphal, India Aug 25, 2026 ALN: Public transport services along the Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati route via National Highway-2 were disrupted for some time on Monday following an "unwanted incident between two communities" in Taphou village area near Senapati district headquarters, an official statement said.

The departure of vehicles was delayed due to the situation that arose at Taphou village in Senapati district along NH-2. The incident reportedly involved tensions between local groups, which have historically had complex and often contentious relationships.
