Delhi Police Busts Fake Airline Job Racket, Six Arrested

Itanagar, India Aug 24, 2026 ALN: The Cyber Police Station of Delhi's Central District has successfully dismantled a fraudulent airline job racket operating under the names "Bretish Airways" and "Future Wings Learning Institute." Six individuals have been apprehended, including the alleged mastermind, his associate, a website developer, and three tele-callers.

The accused utilized fake websites and social media platforms to lure job seekers with promises of employment at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, one of the busiest airports in India. This incident highlights the growing trend of online scams targeting vulnerable job seekers, particularly in the aviation sector, which has seen significant growth in recent years. Victims were persuaded to pay between Rs 7,000 and Rs 10,000 as supposed admission or registration fees for aviation-related courses, which they believed would enhance their employability.

During the investigation, authorities seized two laptops, eight mobile phones, eight SIM cards, and two registers containing data of job seekers and other pertinent information. The seizure of these items provides critical evidence of the operation's scale and the methods employed by the accused to perpetrate their fraud. Police also discovered ten complaints on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) linked to the alleged racket, indicating that this was not an isolated incident but part of a larger scheme affecting multiple victims.

The case emerged following a complaint lodged at the Cyber Police Station. The complainant reported that on June 10, he encountered an on Instagram for “Bretish Airways,” which claimed to offer job placements at IGI Airport, Delhi. The complainant, seeking legitimate employment opportunities, submitted his details and was contacted by a woman who identified herself as “Karishma, HR Bretish Airways.”

This caller collected his documents, including his PAN card, Aadhaar card, marksheets, and CV, via WhatsApp, a common platform for communication that adds an element of trust for unsuspecting victims. She informed him that obtaining a diploma in Airport or Aviation Management from “Future Wings Learning Institute” was essential for securing the job. This fabricated requirement exploited the victim's desperation for employment and further entangled him in the scam.

Under this pretext, the complainant was convinced to transfer a total of Rs 7,000 through UPI from his bank account. After receiving the payment, the accused sent him a fake admission slip, a no-objection certificate, and a fraudulent job offer letter. These documents were designed to appear legitimate, further deceiving the victim into believing that he was on the path to securing a job. The careful crafting of these materials illustrates the lengths to which scammers will go to perpetuate their schemes.

Suspicion arose when the complainant could not find any legitimate airline operating under the name "Bretish Airways."
