    Purpose of This Policy

The purpose of this policy is to explain how AILensNews manages media use in a responsible and legally careful manner. Media can help readers understand a story, but it can also mislead readers if it is outdated, wrongly captioned, edited without context, placed with the wrong article, used without permission, or presented in a manner that harms privacy or reputation.

AILensNews aims to use media only where it has a proper editorial, informational, commercial, or website-related purpose. Media should be relevant to the article or page where it appears. It should not be used merely to attract attention if it may mislead readers, violate rights, expose private individuals, or create unnecessary harm.

This policy also provides a process for rights holders and affected persons to contact AILensNews if they believe an image, video, screenshot, logo, or other media item has been used incorrectly, without permission, without credit, out of context, or in a way that requires correction or removal.

    Types of Media Covered

This policy applies to all visual, audio-visual, and media materials published, displayed, embedded, linked, submitted, reviewed, or distributed through AILensNews. Covered media may include photographs, portraits, event images, press images, screenshots, film stills, video clips, reels, interview videos, livestream excerpts, thumbnails, posters, logos, infographics, charts, illustrations, cartoons, memes, artwork, audio-visual files, embedded public posts, social media images, public documents shown as images, and promotional creatives.

This policy applies whether the media is created by AILensNews, submitted by contributors, supplied by advertisers, received from agencies, taken from official material, embedded from a public source, used for news reporting, used for review, used with permission, used under a lawful editorial basis, or used as part of sponsored content.

This policy also applies to captions, credits, alt text, file names, metadata, media descriptions, social sharing thumbnails, article previews, and any written text that explains or identifies the media.

    Ownership of Media Content

Media published on AILensNews may be owned by AILensNews, licensed to AILensNews, supplied by a contributor, provided by an agency, made available by an advertiser, embedded from a public source, received from a rights holder, obtained from an official communication, or used for lawful editorial reporting. Ownership may vary from item to item.

A user should not assume that a media item is owned by AILensNews merely because it appears on ailensnews.com. A user should also not assume that a media item is free to copy or reuse merely because it is visible online. The media may remain protected by rights belonging to a photographer, videographer, agency, creator, subject, production house, brand, event organizer, institution, public source, advertiser, or other rights holder.

Unless expressly stated in writing, AILensNews does not grant users permission to download, copy, republish, edit, sell, license, use commercially, create derivative work from, or distribute any media published on the website.

    AILensNews Original Media

AILensNews may create or commission original media, including photographs, videos, graphics, article thumbnails, editorial illustrations, interview clips, newsroom visuals, event images, and social media creatives. Original media created by or for AILensNews may be protected content of AILensNews or its authorized rights holders.

Original media may not be copied, republished, edited, reused, or commercially exploited without written permission. This includes reposting AILensNews images on another website, using AILensNews videos in a commercial presentation, copying thumbnails for another news article, removing AILensNews credits, cropping photographs to remove context, or using AILensNews media in advertising.

Short references, links, or limited citations may be considered separately under the Copyright Policy and Fair Use & News Media Policy, but such reference does not create permission to reuse full-resolution media or media assets.

    Third-Party Media

AILensNews may publish third-party media where there is a proper basis to do so. Third-party media may include agency photographs, official press images, public statements, public posts, event photographs, product images, film posters, screenshots, stock images, user submissions, contributor images, or advertiser-supplied materials.

Third-party media may remain subject to third-party ownership, licensing terms, credit conditions, usage limits, privacy conditions, and removal requirements. AILensNews may review media before publication but may also rely on representations made by contributors, advertisers, agencies, rights holders, or sources.

Where AILensNews becomes aware that third-party media may be incorrectly supplied, wrongly credited, unauthorized, misleading, or rights-sensitive, it may review, correct, replace, restrict, or remove the media as appropriate.

Media Submitted by Contributors and Users

Contributors, freelancers, photographers, videographers, agencies, advertisers, sources, readers, and partners who submit media to AILensNews must ensure that they have the necessary rights, permissions, licenses, consents, and authority to submit the material. They must not submit copied, stolen, manipulated, private, confidential, defamatory, misleading, or rights-infringing media.

By submitting media, the submitter represents that the material is lawful, accurate, properly sourced, and suitable for review by AILensNews. The submitter also confirms that publication by AILensNews will not violate the rights of any creator, subject, owner, advertiser, brand, agency, or third party.

AILensNews may request proof of ownership, license, consent, credit details, source information, release forms, or other supporting details before or after publication. AILensNews may reject, edit, crop, resize, caption, credit, restrict, or remove submitted media where necessary.

    Advertiser and Sponsored Media

Advertisers, sponsors, agencies, commercial partners, and brand representatives submitting media for sponsored content, advertising, promotions, campaigns, or partner articles must ensure that all media has been lawfully cleared for the intended use. This may include photographs, videos, logos, graphics, product images, influencer images, celebrity images, testimonials, campaign creatives, banners, and promotional visuals.

Payment for publication does not remove the responsibility to provide lawful media. AILensNews may refuse or remove advertising media where rights are unclear, claims are unsupported, credits are missing, or the material creates legal, editorial, privacy, reputational, or reader-trust concerns.

AILensNews may require advertisers to provide proof of license, brand authorization, model release, photographer approval, agency permission, or creator permission. Advertisers and agencies remain responsible for rights issues connected with submitted media.

AILensNews may provide image credits, creator names, agency names, source references, or caption details where required, appropriate, or available. Credits may appear in captions, article body text, image metadata, media descriptions, or other suitable locations.

Attribution supports transparency, but attribution alone does not automatically make media use lawful. Crediting a photographer or rights holder does not replace permission where permission is required. AILensNews may review both the credit position and the legal basis for use.

Where a credit is missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or disputed, the rights holder or affected person may contact AILensNews through the appropriate channel. Copyright and image rights concerns may be sent to copyright@ailensnews.com. Editorial caption or context concerns may be sent to editorial@ailensnews.com. Legal notices may be sent to legal@ailensnews.com.

    Captions and Context

Captions should describe media accurately and should not mislead readers about who or what is shown, when the image was taken, where the event occurred, what the image represents, or how it relates to the article. A correct image can become misleading if the caption is inaccurate or if the image is placed in the wrong context.

AILensNews may use captions to identify people, events, locations, dates, source context, file status, representative nature, or editorial relevance. Where an image is illustrative rather than directly from the event being reported, the caption or surrounding article text may clarify this where needed.

If a caption is wrong, incomplete, or misleading, AILensNews may correct it, update it, add context, replace the image, or remove the media. Caption concerns may be submitted to editorial@ailensnews.com.

    Editorial Use of Images

AILensNews may use images for reporting, review, commentary, criticism, explanation, identification, public-interest coverage, educational reporting, entertainment coverage, sports coverage, business reporting, healthcare reporting, and other editorial purposes. Media should be connected to the story and should support reader understanding.

Images should not be used only to create attention if they do not fairly relate to the article. A dramatic image should not be attached to an unrelated story. A person’s image should not be used in a way that suggests involvement in a matter without proper context. A public post screenshot should not be cropped in a way that changes meaning.

AILensNews may review image selection to ensure it is accurate, relevant, fair, and not unnecessarily harmful.

Use of Public Posts and Screenshots

AILensNews may use screenshots or references to public posts where relevant to reporting, review, criticism, fact-checking, public statements, public controversy, entertainment coverage, sports commentary, business announcements, education updates, or public-interest discussion.

Before publishing screenshots, AILensNews may consider whether the post is public, whether the account appears authentic, whether the content has been edited or deleted, whether the screenshot is complete enough for context, whether private persons are exposed unnecessarily, and whether publication may create avoidable harm.

Screenshots from private messages, private groups, restricted accounts, confidential communication, or non-public spaces require greater editorial and legal caution. AILensNews may blur personal details, crop irrelevant information, describe the content in words, seek confirmation, or decline publication where appropriate.

    Videos and Audio-Visual Media

AILensNews may publish, embed, or reference videos and audio-visual content where relevant to an article or website feature. Video content may include interviews, event clips, public statements, entertainment material, sports clips, explainers, campaign material, product demonstrations, or public-interest footage.

Video and audio-visual media should not mislead readers. A video clip should not be edited in a way that changes meaning. If only a portion of a video is used, the context should remain fair. AILensNews may avoid publishing footage that is graphic, private, exploitative, unlawfully obtained, or harmful without sufficient public-interest reason.

Where video content is embedded from an external source, AILensNews may not control all aspects of availability, playback, captions, takedown, or data collection by that external source.

Thumbnails, Featured Images, and Social Previews

AILensNews may use thumbnails, featured images, social sharing previews, and article cards to represent articles across ailensnews.com and related distribution channels. These visuals should fairly represent the article content and should not create a false impression.

A thumbnail may be cropped or resized for technical reasons, but it should not be edited to misrepresent the subject. A featured image should not imply that a person, company, brand, or event is connected to a claim unless the article provides proper context.

AILensNews may update or replace thumbnails and previews where they are inaccurate, outdated, misleading, rights-sensitive, or technically unsuitable.

Logos, Brand Assets, and Product Images

AILensNews may use logos, brand names, product images, packaging visuals, screenshots of websites or apps, advertisements, and campaign material where relevant for factual identification, business reporting, review, criticism, comparison, public-interest reporting, sponsored content, or product-related coverage.

Use of a logo or product image does not imply endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, approval, or affiliation unless clearly stated. AILensNews should not alter logos or product images in a misleading manner. Brand assets should be used only where relevant and proportionate to the article or page.

Advertisers and agencies submitting brand assets must confirm that they are authorized to provide and approve such use.

    Sensitive Media

Sensitive media may include images or videos involving children, victims, grief, health matters, legal matters, accidents, violence, disasters, conflict, private persons, personal documents, personal addresses, medical situations, emotional distress, or reputational harm. AILensNews should handle such media with care.

Sensitive media should not be used merely for attention. Editorial review may consider public interest, dignity, privacy, harm, necessity, consent, reader impact, and available alternatives. In some cases, AILensNews may blur faces, remove identifying details, use a representative image, describe the situation without publishing the media, or decline publication.

AILensNews may remove or restrict sensitive media where later review shows that the harm outweighs the value of publication.

    Children and Private Individuals

Media involving children or private individuals requires special care. AILensNews should avoid unnecessary identification of children, families, private persons, students, patients, victims, or vulnerable individuals where there is no clear editorial reason.

Images of private individuals should not be used in a way that suggests wrongdoing, endorsement, affiliation, health status, personal condition, or involvement in a story without proper context. Where an image is not central to the report, AILensNews may choose a less intrusive visual.

If a private person believes their image has been used unfairly, they may contact AILensNews with the article URL, image details, reason for concern, and supporting information.

    Image Editing and Alteration

AILensNews may crop, resize, compress, adjust brightness, add captions, blur sensitive details, remove personal information, or format images for technical and editorial reasons. Such edits should not mislead readers or change the factual meaning of the media.

Substantial alteration, illustration, recreation, composite imagery, generated visuals, or representative images should be handled carefully. Where a visual is not a direct photograph of the event or subject, AILensNews may label or explain the context where necessary.

Images should not be manipulated to fabricate events, misidentify persons, exaggerate harm, create false evidence, or distort the subject of a report.

    Generated and Assisted Visual Content

AILensNews may use generated or technology-assisted visual content for illustration, formatting, design support, accessibility, image review, or article presentation where appropriate. Such content should not be presented as a real photograph of an actual event, person, document, or location if it is not real.

Where generated or assisted visuals may affect reader understanding, AILensNews may label them as illustrative, representative, generated, or recreated. This is especially important where the visual relates to public events, legal matters, health issues, public figures, tragedies, or sensitive topics.

Generated visual content must not copy protected work, misuse a person’s likeness, imitate a real person misleadingly, or create harmful false impressions.

    Media Removal and Replacement

AILensNews may remove, replace, blur, restrict, update, or re-caption media where concerns arise. Reasons may include inaccurate captioning, wrong image selection, rights complaints, privacy concerns, sensitive information, misleading context, outdated visuals, contributor error, advertiser issue, editorial review, or legal notice.

Removal of media does not automatically mean AILensNews accepts liability. In many cases, media may be removed or changed to reduce risk, improve accuracy, protect privacy, or respond responsibly to a credible concern.

AILensNews may retain internal records of removed or replaced media for editorial accountability, rights review, complaint handling, and legal purposes.

    Media Rights Complaints

A rights holder, photographer, creator, agency, brand, subject, advertiser, or authorized representative may contact AILensNews if they believe media published on ailensnews.com has been used without authorization, without proper credit, outside the permitted scope, or in a misleading or harmful way.

A complaint should include the article URL, media description, proof of ownership or authority, explanation of the issue, requested action, and contact information. Where the concern relates to copyright or ownership, the complaint may be sent to copyright@ailensnews.com. Editorial concerns may be sent to editorial@ailensnews.com. Legal notices may be sent to legal@ailensnews.com.

AILensNews may review the complaint, request more information, check available records, contact contributors, update credit, replace media, remove media, restrict media, reject unsupported claims, or take other appropriate action.

    User Reuse of AILensNews Media

Users must not copy, download, repost, reproduce, edit, sell, distribute, frame, watermark, crop, use in advertisements, use in commercial content, include in presentations, or upload AILensNews media elsewhere without permission or lawful basis.

This restriction applies to photographs, videos, graphics, thumbnails, captions, article previews, illustrations, screenshots, logos, and any other media published on AILensNews. A user may share links to AILensNews articles through ordinary sharing methods, but sharing a link is different from copying or republishing the media itself.

Permission requests relating to AILensNews media may be sent to copyright@ailensnews.com.

Media in Archives and Older Content

AILensNews may maintain archives containing older articles, images, videos, thumbnails, captions, or embedded media. Older media may not always reflect current formatting standards, caption style, accessibility expectations, or technical quality.

AILensNews may update older media where a credible concern is raised or where internal review identifies a need for correction, replacement, removal, or improved context. However, AILensNews is not required to proactively review every older image or media item at all times.

Archived media may remain available where it forms part of the historical editorial record, subject to review where rights, privacy, accuracy, or legal concerns arise.

    Accessibility and Media Descriptions

AILensNews may provide captions, surrounding text, alt text, summaries, or descriptions to help readers understand media content where practical. Accessibility support may vary depending on the media type, source, urgency of publication, third-party supply, technical limits, and available information.

Where an image carries essential information, AILensNews may seek to explain relevant details in the article body or caption. Where video or audio content is used, the article may provide summary context where appropriate.

Readers may contact AILensNews if an important media item is difficult to understand or lacks necessary context.

Contact for Image and Media Matters

Questions, complaints, permission requests, credit requests, removal requests, image correction requests, video concerns, screenshot concerns, logo concerns, and media-related legal notices should be directed to the appropriate AILensNews contact channel.

Copyright and permission concerns may be sent to copyright@ailensnews.com. Editorial media concerns may be sent to editorial@ailensnews.com. Legal notices may be sent to legal@ailensnews.com.

A request should clearly identify the page URL, the specific media item, the reason for the concern, the requested action, and supporting evidence where available. AILensNews may route the request to editorial, legal, copyright, advertising, contributor management, technical, or compliance personnel depending on the issue.

    Updates to This Policy

AILensNews may update this Image & Media Usage Policy from time to time due to changes in website operations, publishing practices, editorial standards, media formats, rights management, contributor processes, advertising practices, accessibility needs, reader feedback, technology use, or internal review.

Updated versions may be posted on this page. Continued access to or use of ailensnews.com after an update means the user has had the opportunity to review the revised policy. AILensNews reserves all rights relating to media published, displayed, embedded, or distributed through its website.
