The Miss Teen Diva 2026 finale in Jaipur saw Aishwarya Malang from Meghalaya and Snigdha Bhuyan from Assam win top titles, representing India at international pageants.

The grand finale of Miss Teen Diva 2026 concluded in Jaipur after several days of competition featuring multiple rounds of evaluation, with winners from Meghalaya, Assam, and Odisha earning the opportunity to represent India at prestigious international teen beauty pageants later this year.

The pageant, which serves as a platform to select Indian representatives for three global teen competitions — Miss Teen Grand 2026, Miss Teen Earth 2026, and Miss Teen Universe 2026 — crowned three young achievers from the Northeast and Eastern India. This year's edition of the pageant was particularly notable as it highlighted the growing recognition of beauty pageants as platforms for empowerment and self-expression among young women.

Aishwarya Malang from Meghalaya was crowned Miss Teen Earth India 2026, while Snigdha Bhuyan from Assam won the title of Miss Teen Grand India 2026. Prasuci Panda from Odisha secured the crown of Miss Teen Universe India 2026, completing the trio of winners who will now represent India on the global stage. These titles not only signify personal achievements for the winners but also serve as a source of inspiration for many young girls across the country, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

Among the finalists, Vedshri Thakre from Goa was declared the first runner up, and Diya Dang from Haryana took the position of second runner up. Out of hundreds of participants nationwide, 37 contestants advanced to the finals, showcasing talent, confidence, and cultural representation. The rigorous selection process included various rounds such as talent performances, interviews, and question-and-answer segments, allowing the contestants to demonstrate their poise and intellect.

Nikhil Anand, owner of Miss Teen Diva and Director of Glamanand Supermodel, highlighted the growing stature of the event, noting that the pageant has established a strong identity in the global fashion and beauty industry and has groomed several international beauty queens representing India. The significance of such platforms extends beyond mere competition; they provide young women with opportunities for personal growth, networking, and exposure to various cultures and ideas.

Expressing her joy, Aishwarya Malang said she felt proud to represent Meghalaya on such a prestigious platform. Her victory is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the Northeast, which has often been underrepresented in mainstream media. Snigdha Bhuyan shared her excitement about fulfilling her responsibilities as Miss Teen Grand India and expressed gratitude for the support she received throughout the competition. Her win reflects the increasing visibility and recognition of beauty queens from smaller states, which can inspire young women from similar backgrounds to aspire for greatness.

Tripura wins Best National Costume

Tripura earned national honours at the event as Chandamita Roy won the Best National Costume award, wearing a creation conceptualised and designed by renowned fashion curator Yana Ngoba Chakpu, Founder & CEO of Northeast India Fashion Week – The Artisans Movement. This recognition not only celebrates individual talent but also brings attention to the rich cultural tapestry of India, showcasing the diverse traditions and crafts that exist across the country.

The award-winning costume celebrated the artistry of Tripura’s indigenous communities while honouring India’s tribal heritage. At its core was an authentic handwoven textile of the Debbarman (Tripuri) community, woven on the traditional loin loom, preserving an age-old weaving tradition. This emphasis on traditional craftsmanship highlights the importance of preserving indigenous skills and knowledge, which are often at risk of being lost in the face of globalization.

Inspired by the Nagkesar, the State Flower of Tripura, the costume featured dramatic floral wings symbolising natural beauty, resilience, and cultural identity. The ensemble was further adorned with Indian coin jewellery, vibrant red beads, and silver tribal ornaments, creating a contemporary interpretation of India’s living tribal legacy. This blend of modern design with traditional elements not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the costume but also serves as a powerful statement about cultural pride and continuity.

With these achievements, Miss Teen Diva 2026 not only crowned new representatives for international pageants but also celebrated India’s diverse cultural heritage on a global stage. The event has become a significant platform for young women to express their individuality while embracing their roots, thus fostering a sense of unity in diversity.

The implications of such events extend beyond the realm of beauty and fashion. They contribute to discussions around gender equality, empowerment, and the breaking of stereotypes associated with beauty standards. As more young women take center stage in such competitions, they challenge traditional notions of beauty and redefine what it means to be a representative of one's culture and community.

Moreover, the success of contestants from the Northeast and Eastern India is particularly noteworthy, as it brings visibility to regions that have historically been marginalized in the national narrative. By showcasing their talents and cultural heritage, these young women are paving the way for future generations to embrace their identities and aspire to achieve their dreams.

As Miss Teen Diva continues to grow in prominence, it is essential to recognize the broader social impact it has on its participants and the communities they represent. The pageant serves as a reminder that beauty is not merely about appearance; it encompasses confidence, intelligence, and the ability to inspire others.

In conclusion, Miss Teen Diva 2026 has successfully highlighted the potential of young women in India, showcasing their talents and celebrating their cultural heritage. The winners and participants alike are set to become role models for many, proving that with determination and support, they can achieve their goals and make a significant impact on society.
