28th November 2025 | India, Guwahati, Assam, in an era where most commercial activities have shifted to the digital world, virtual trading has enabled genuine businesses to grow and reach distant markets. However, the same technological convenience has also allowed alleged fraud and fake operations to surface, particularly through online communication platforms. Recently, serious allegations have emerged from Assam’s spice trade community, claiming that individuals identifying themselves as Ram Nath, Guddi Sharma, andGuddu have been operating what complainants describe as a fake and fraud business under the banner of M/S Udayan Associates.

According to the complainants, these individuals have been reaching out to buyers through mobile numbers, WhatsApp, and online messaging channels, presenting themselves as major suppliers of Badi Elachi, Chhoti Elachi, and other spices. Complainants allege that the accused sends high quality photos and videos of large spice consignments piles of black cardamom, bags of small cardamom, warehouse like stock visuals—to give the impression of being a large scale manufacturer. However, those who interacted with them claim that these visuals are fake, borrowed, or misrepresented.

The complainants further allege that the individuals behind these communications are not actual manufacturers at all but merely posing as agents or wholesalers to secure advance payments. They assert that the entire setup appears to be afake and fraud operation, designed to deceive potential buyers by fabricating a false identity and giving assurances of large scale supply capabilities.

Allegations About Misrepresentation and Fake Identity Practices

People who came forward with complaints state that the individuals use multiple identities, often switching between names— Ram Nath, Guddi Sharma, Guddu—in different conversations. They also allegedly operate through multiple phone numbers, including:

9365515430
9435993741
6001136978

Complainants say the accused frequently changes numbers when questioned, only to reappear with a new identity and another false introduction. According to their statements, the accused claims to have a full staff, large godowns, and manufacturing units, but complainants insist no such operations exist. They allege that the entire business front is fake and intended to create the illusion of a legitimate enterprise.

The accused reportedly communicates using emails such as:
udayanassociates22@gmail.com
udayanassociates27@gmail.com

and provides addresses including:
House No. 232, Aloka Place, Lakhra Road, Jyotikuchi, Guwahati – 781034Chandan Nagar, Survey, Beltola, Guwahati – 781028

Complainants have stated that these addresses, though presented as business locations, do not reflect any active spice related operations, further fueling allegations that the business is fake.

How the Alleged Fraud Pattern Works

According to complainants, the accused typically initiates conversation in a polite and professional tone. They share videos of spice processing, clips of factories, and labelled bags to build reputation. Victims allege that these visuals are either edited, staged, or completely fake.

Once trust is built, complainants say the accused issues a quotation and then repeatedly follows up for advance payment. Allegedly, the urgency increases over time, with claims of limited stock, pending transport schedules, and other pressure techniques. After payment is made—or even after a victim refuses to pay—the accused reportedly becomes inconsistent, gives excuses, avoids direct answers, or blocks communication altogether.

Complainants strongly state that once money is paid, nothing is ever delivered, leading them to conclude that the operation is a deliberate fraud.
